yeah, i saw the spiderwick chronciles today. only wanted to see because i like fantasy movies (narnia,harry potter, etc) the movie was either the greatest or the worse fantasy movie i ever seen. it was diffinity one of kiddy movies. it wasn't as good as narnia, but still a decent movie. the action was good, some good chase scene and fighting scenes. but the plot as little ti be desired, pretty simple and straight forward.

mother and 3 kid move to big spooky house, one kid finds big misterious book that saids read the book and the world will end or something like that, i can't remember, but really to a kid it saids read me! then all hell breaks lose, evil goblins and a evil shapeshifting orge want the book to gain ultimite knowlege and power and if that happens the magical world is destroyed, so the 3 kids end up being catch in the mess to try and destroy the book. so yeah, not really much in plot wise.the specail effects were, of course, very good. the magical creatures in the movie were done well. when all 3 kids ride of the back of a griffon was my favorite part. but really i think that only good special effects would made this movie good and worth watching, otherwise it would seem drowl.

ao again, not the grestest, but not the worse either. go see if your like fantasy movies.

even notice there as been lot of fantasy movie lately? narnia, bridge to terabithia, eragon, the goldern compass and now spiderwick. and all are base off books, i not sure if that a desrpate cry to make a good movie or not, but i wish they would cut it out or slow it down a little, i can only watch so many fantasy movies at a time or read the book it's from at one time and not get tired of it. i still hadn't finished the goldern compass series. X_X now i have to read the spiderwick series. now i wish i read more as a child. honesty, i think the only movies based off books that were done well is narnia and harry potter, the other are just monkey see and do moves. should of spent my money on the next narnia movie coming out.
